VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Lots of help is needed for the Historic Decatur Christmas Tour to be successful. All over town businesses have volunteered to sponsor various activities. Restaurants and catering businesses have donated items to be served for refreshments at tour headquarters the afternoon of the tour.

Opportunities

We still need folks! Many opportunities still exist for volunteers. Some of those opportunities include:

  • Refreshments coordinators - people to coordinate setting up refreshments at tour headquarters on Saturday, December 10.
  • Finger food preparers - preparing finger foods to be served at tour headquarters Saturday, December 10. These should be delivered to Headquarters (First United Methodist Wesley Fellowship hall) between noon and 1:00 pm the day of the tour.
  • Headquarters hostesses - people to serve as hostesses at tour headquarters on Saturday, December 10. These can be 1 1/2 hour time slots (2:30-4:00, 4:00-5:30, 5:30-7:00).
  • Tour home hostesses - people to serve as hosts/hostesses at the tour homes in Old Decatur and Albany
  • Carriage ride coordinators - these people will oversee volunteers who sell tickets for the carriage rides at the Carnegie and Delano Park.
